Adult Beginner Ballet Fitness

The basics of ballet technique and beginner ballet-fitness exercises are presented in a comprehensive, practical, and user-friendly way. Learn how to teach a variety of ballet-based fitness protocols which include Barre exercises, Center exercises, Across-the-Floor movements, a simple dance combination, and yoga postures for dance conditioning. Study the theoretical concepts of Feminist Pedagogy, Layered Learning, and Psychological Muscle Function. Yet the ballet fitness exercises are basic and success-oriented, even for the person who is attempting ballet for the first time. I am a ballroom dance instructor, and have always wanted to incorporate ballet techniques in my teaching. None of my students are or will be ballet dancers, but all can benefit from doing ballet exercises; these can only enhance their ballroom technique.
