About Academy of Holistic Fitness

Since 1996 Academy of Holistic Fitness’s single focus has been developing high quality, cost effective continuing education courses for fitness and exercise professionals. Our specialty is Mind-Body Fitness and Yoga. Each Academy of Holistic Fitness home study course was produced by Linda Christy Weiler, M.S, a nationally known yoga teacher/author and Executive Director of Academy of Holistic Fitness.

Academy of Holistic Fitness recently published a comprehensive new course called the Holistic Fitness Specialty Certificate. Over the past ten years, Academy of Holistic Fitness has provided continuing education courses to several thousand personal trainers, group fitness instructors, and other fitness/exercise professionals in the U.S. and abroad.

Linda-Christy Weiler, Executive Director of the Academy of Holistic Fitness, has an M.S. degree in Somatic Studies (the Self experienced as a body) and a B.A. degree in Psychology. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Fitness Instructor, and has been an ACE Continuing Education Specialist since 1996. For the past eleven years she has served as director of the Yoga/Fitness Program for the Hindu Cultural Center at the Ganesha Temple in Nashville. She also teaches workshops and classes in Somatic Education, Yoga, and Pro-active Postural Restructuring to local women’s groups. In 2005 she created the Yoga Certificate Program of Advanced Training for the National Exercise Trainer’s Association. A professional member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, her yoga background includes Sivananda, Kriya, Bikram, and Iyengar techniques. Her leisure-time athletic endeavors include ballet, cycling, jogging with her daughter, and frolicking with her three dogs.
